Self and Non-Self, Made Clear.

Immunology has more acronyms per page than any subject you will meet this year, and students drown in them. Every unit here starts with the problem the mechanism exists to solve β€” why the body needs two kinds of immunity, why one lymphocyte carries one receptor, why a harmless protein can kill you β€” and only then names the molecules.

⭐ The single most useful thing to know about this paper

The 2019 and 2020 papers are very nearly the same exam. Comparing them section by section: 20 of 20 MCQs identical, 12 of 12 true/false identical, and all 5 brief-answer questions identical β€” word for word. Section I repeats 3 of its 6 terms; Section II keeps the same seven slots with small variations. That is 62 of 100 marks repeated verbatim from one year to the next.
Use that, but do not lean on it blindly. One true/false statement changes a single word between the two years β€” Th1 becomes Th2 β€” and the correct answer flips from False to True. Anyone who memorised the answer key without understanding the cytokine profiles gets that one wrong. Learn the concepts; let the repetition be a bonus.

⚠️ Three formats your other subjects never test

Anatomy and Biochemistry are definitions, MCQs and essays. This paper adds fill in the blanks (20%), true/false (12%), and a brief-answer section that is five comparison tables, not prose β€” together 62% of the mark in shapes you have not practised. Note also that the MCQ here gives four options (A–D), not the five Biochemistry uses. Every Q-Bank on this site is laid out in the paper’s own five sections so you drill each format as it is actually asked.
